NJ Songwriters in the Round

is a once monthly showcase for talented artists/songwriters to perform their original music in an intimate, acoustic setting.  It is a night to celebrate the songwriter… a night for fans who love music in it's purest form… and a night for the industry to take notice…

We have been visited by execs from Sony, Epic, Zomba, The Oxygen Network, ASCAP, BMI, etc. and been written up in Billboard, the NY Times, The Aquarian and other publications...

NJ Songwriters in The Round is funded in part by a grant from The Puffin Foundation

FAQ

- How does a Songwriter's Circle work?
Four artists/songwriters are featured, each doing two sets of two songs in turn, after the other -- each performing 4 original songs.

The shows are held at Maxwell's in Hoboken.... The address is 1039 Washington St., Hoboken, NJ
Visit their website: www.maxwellsnj.com for directions. (parking info)

Shows are every 3rd Tuesday of the month.  Showtime is 8:30 PM.  No cover, no minimum.

-Do I have to be from NJ and an ASCAP member to perform?
No to both. We have had artists from all over who make the show a stop on their tour when they're in the area. Writers affiliated with any PRO (or no pro) are welcome to submit for a performance spot.

- How do I submit?
We prefer submissions through Sonicbids. Please visit their website for more info. We will also accept mail-in CDs and press kits:  NJ Songwriters in the Round, P.O. Box 210, Long Valley, NJ  07853   (Only original material will be considered. Submission does not guarantee a performance spot.)

PARKING: Maxwell's has 2 options to offer beyond whatever street parking is available:

1. Impark indoor lot 2 12th St. (East of Hudson St.-the lot is actually recessed from the street in the Shipyard Building). The patron must get a ticket in the lot's office. They can then buy a sticker from our bartender for $5 to place on the ticket. That will entitle them to up to 3 hours of parking. BUT...unfortunately that lot closes at 11 p.m. during the week.

2. Park on Park 14th and Park. Ask the bartender to stamp the parking ticket. The patron will then be able to park for $5 (paid directly to the lot). This lot is further away but it is open all night.
